On Thursday it was disclosed by the anime director Pierre Itō that he is producing an anime movie Mouseman ~Ai no Katamari~ inspired by his series Mouseman. From September 25 to October 8 the anime movie is going to be in succession at the Cine Libre Ikebukuro cinema in Tokyo and it is going to star Yoshimasa Hosoya for the character of titular Mouseman.

From 2016 to 2018 a series of over 70 Mouseman anime shorts were produced by Pierre Itō. The story focuses on the titular cyborg that has the highlights of a mouse.
Itō conceived, co-wrote, directed, storyboarded, designed the characters, co-animated, and worked on effects. The movie has been made by Studio Kingyoiro with a team working fully distantly. The movie has been co-penned by Takumi Yagihashi, who also serves as the assistant director.
