To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts: Episode 10 Review

To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts

This week’s episode of “to the abandoned Sacred beast’ redeems the previous episode as things are starting to make sense and the story seems to progress

Hank ended up in a cave after falling off the cliff. However, it does not seem to make any sense how he ended up there. It’s impossible that he landed their after falling or Schaal carried him there all by herself.  We don’t even know that how she found him. It’s very unlikely to think that she locates him with the help of a navigation device. It’s better to not go into that detail and move forward as he seems to be warm and cozy in the cave.

He dreams about Elaine in the cave and it’s unfortunate that we will not be able to see this cute couple together.  However, the chemistry between Schaal and Hanks is getting more romantic even though she promised to kill him in case of losing his soul. Their love story will not be completely romantic since Hank likes her only because of her resemblance with his dead lover. On the other hand, Hank kills Garm in the battlefield and Claude is now convinced for the conversation.

Although the battle scene was interesting, there are still few things that we wanted to see like two wolves talking about their friendship or Garm thinking about his loyalty towards Cain. It seems like Garm was a good human being before he turned into a beast. Shockingly, it was Garm who had pre-crush on Schaal.

Watching Hank dreaming about Elaine was almost heart wrenching as it seems he will never be able to get over that grievance.

The scene with flashback depicts how brutality of war. It either ends up in deaths of million people or completely change lives of those who lives. They spend the rest of their lives being traumatized.

The anime is getting more interesting now as the character of Schaal seems to have developed. She is getting smart and courageous while still having retained some sensitive side of her. If her character keeps developing like the way it did in this week’s episode, we might get to see her turning into an ultimate badass.

It’s about time that the show is getting interesting but it is hard to believe that only two episodes are left as the story just got to its midpoint and it doesn’t seems to end in 50 minutes. We all are quite sure about season 2 but we still have high hope for last two episodes to be exceptional. Although, we enjoyed this week’s episode, but still the anime did not live up to the standards of MAPPA studios.
