We have been getting some really good news lately and one of these exciting news is about the great Studio Ghibli that has recently announced that they will be releasing a new animated movie with 3DCG. The title of the movie is Aya and the Witch (Aya to Majo) which is the adaptation of the kids novel, Earwig and the Witch, written by Diana Wynne Jones.
Since Studio Ghibli is going to be releasing the first movie with 3DCG technology in the animation, the fans are really excited. The film is scheduled to be released on NHK-G during winter this year in Japan and so everyone is eagerly waiting for winter to watch it. We haven’t got any news for the people outside Japan but stay tuned for the updated as we will be updating soon.
The story is about an Earwig, who likes to live in St. Morwald’s Home for Children. She is happy with everything she has as she gets what she wants and things have been like that since the day she started living there and was found on the doorstep of the orphanage as a baby. But things didn’t remain same for her when Bella Yaga and Mandrake visited the orphanage as foster parents.
Earwig was taken to the weird house with many invisible rooms, potions and books with magical spell everywhere. Children would be scared in a house like that but Earwig is not like other children, she is smart and clever. Using her brain and the help from a cat who can talk, she plans to teach the witch a lesson.
