Shōgo Sakata Joins Cast of Class no Dai Kirai na Joshi to Kekkon suru Koto ni Natta. TV Anime


The Aniplex x Kadokawa Anime Matsuri livestream event on Friday introduced an exciting new cast member for the television anime adaptation of Seiju Amano’s story, Class no Dai Kirai na Joshi to Kekkon suru Koto ni Natta. (I Ended Up Marrying the Girl in My Class I Hated the Most). The talented Shōgo Sakata has joined the cast as Saito Hōjō. The event showcased a video featuring the same footage as the anime announcement video from June, but this time including Sakata’s voice.

Production Team

The anime is being directed by Hiroyuki Oshima, known for his work on Kill la Kill and Teasing Master Takagi-san, at Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ. Tatsuya Takahashi, who has worked on The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Domestic Girlfriend, and Idoly Pride, is overseeing the series scripts. Nanako Tatsu, known for her work on Date A Live IV and Date A Live V, is designing the characters, while Arisa Okehazama, known for her work on Jujutsu Kaisen and The Apothecary Diaries, is composing the music. The series is being produced by EGG FIRM.

Story Synopsis

The anime stars Hinaki Yano as Akane Sakuramori. The story revolves around third-year high school student Saito Hōjō, who, due to unusual circumstances, ends up marrying his classmate and “natural enemy” Akane Sakuramori. This heart-pounding romantic comedy explores the tumultuous married life of two people who initially despised each other.
