Sentai Daishikkaku:Go! Go! Loser Ranger! is a Japanese manga series by Negi Haruba. It was published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since February 2021. It has been collected in sixteen tankōbon volumes. An anime adaptation by Yostar Pictures aired from April to June 2024, with a second season set to premiere in April 2025. Brief Overview

Go Go loser ranger season 1 overview

The Go, Go, Loser Ranger anime adaptation is based on a manga series by Negi Haruba, which was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since February 2021. The story follows the Divine Dragon Rangers, who were once mankind’s last hope against the Monster Army, who invaded Earth thirteen years ago. However, the invaders were subjugated within a year, and one monster rebels, threatening to destroy the Dragon Rangers from within.

Season 1

Thirteen years ago, the Villainous Army of Evil invaded Earth, facing the Divine Dragon Rangers and Dragon Keepers. After defeating the evil army, the surviving foot soldiers reenact their defeat every Sunday. One soldier rebel, deciding to infiltrate the Dragon Keepers to defeat them.

There was total 12 episodes in Season 1.

Episode 1:

“We Are Justice! The Dragon Keepers!”

A flying fortress, the Dragon Keepers, defend humanity against invaders. Thirteen years later, the fortress sends down Dusters for Sunday Showdowns. Ul-Tora Tiger defeats a dramatic fight, but it’s revealed they beat the invaders within a year. A Duster, Footsoldier D, disguises as a human to join the Dragon Keepers and take down them from within.

Episode 2:

“Go! Fighter D!”

D joins the Ranger Force and meets Yumeko Suzukiri and Hibiki Sakurama. Suzukiri has a mission to deliver a letter to Red Garrison HQ. D transforms into Sakurama to help her deliver the letter. Red Keeper arrives to punish D, but D is scared off. Suzukiri reveals she knows D and wants to work with him to kill Keepers. Sakurama warns of a monster, Footsoldier F.

Episode 3:

“Our Evil Will Bloom, someday”

D discovers Sukurama’s true intentions and rejects his desire for a world where humans and monsters coexist. Suzukiri teaches him to steal the Keepers’ five Divine Artifacts during the Sunday Showdown. D impersonates the Red Keeper and sneaks into Red Garrison headquarters, but is stopped by Shun Tokita. The Keepers confront D, and he is killed by Blue Keeper. The original artifact is fake, stolen by Suzukiri.

Episode 4:

“The Soldier with Love, Hibiki!”

The Dragon Keepers discuss the theft of their Divine Artifact, Red’s death, and the search for D and the Divine Artifact. D is found alive but with a stomach wound. Sukurama and Hikeru find D, who tries to lure him away. Hikeru counters with a replica, but D runs away. Sukurama appears to kill D, but they agreed to swap disguises for D to infiltrate Rangers.

Episode 5:

“Fighter D, as a Part of ‘Ranger Force'”

A disguised D lives at the independent Ranger’s HQ and smashes Hibiki’s laptop, revealing Hibiki’s identity. He delivers badges to trainees and encounters Hibiki’s sister, Sesera. Sesera tries to convince Hibiki and his sister to quit the Rangers, but Hibiki is convinced of D’s traitorry. D temporarily leaves Sesera to trap her head, but later convinces her to work with him. Sesera stops thugs while rejoicing Hibiki’s transformation.

Episode 6:

“1 Plus 2 Equals… Threat!”

D starts training but is beaten by other trainees. At the final exam, they must fight monsters and retrieve a key in three days. D is paired with Kai Shion and sent after Tokita. D steals a car, causing Hisui and trainees to fight. D ambushes Tokita and goesads Shion into attacking him. Hisui attacks Tokita and Shion, but is stopped by trainees.

Episode 7:

“The Zigzag Road to the Final Exam!”

A trainee quits after the first day, and Shion tries to talk to D about joining the Rangers. They discuss their brother’s death by a boss monster and XX’s rescue by Peltrola. On the second day, Shion and four trainees take all keys, and D teams up with the remaining trainees to take the last key held by Suzukiri. Peltrola and XX escape, killing multiple people.

Episode 8:

“Shout Out Loud, Cadets!”

Elite trainees, led by D, secure the key to the second day’s key, despite a trap set by trainee Renmaru. Peltrola and XX face Aizome, who wounds her with a Divine Artifact. D spyes on trainees, while Renmaru kills Aizome. Peltrola heals, and XX disposes of Renmaru’s body. On the final day, one-on-one matches are agreed, with XX disguised as Renmaru. D defeats Shion, accidentally triggering Burst Mode.

Episode 9:

“Battle! Fever! Fighter D!”

Aizome is injured by the Dragon Spirit Draggie, while D’s team takes three keys and Shion’s team surrenders the fourth. XX pins Shion, and the Blue Keeper arrives, trapping XX and torturing her for information. D fails to kill him, and XX apologizes to Peltrola, confirming a boss monster’s existence.

Episode 10:

“It’s Showtime for Blue Keeper!”

XX takes D and Blue Keeper to Peltrola’s hiding place, where he reveals he has evolved and created a massive army of clones to fight the Blue Keeper. D betrays and kills the Peltrola clone, realizing his ideal world cannot be achieved without the boss monsters. D joins the Junior Cadets and trainees, stating that his only side is fighting for himself.

Episode 11:

“On the Road to My Justice!”

The cadets fight against the Peltrola clone, with Yukino held hostage and Ishikawa wounded. Suzukiri’s deal with Peltrola allows one clone to escape, but it’s killed by the Pink Keeper. D convinces others to surrender their Dragon Gadgets, leading to Akebayashi’s escape. Ishikawa’s injury is fatal, and the Blue Keeper’s origin story is revealed. Konno sacrifices himself to save the Blue Keeper.

Episode 12:

“Never Stop, Fighter D!”

Flashbacks reveal D’s birth, Sunday Showdown, and battles with the Blue Keeper. D stabs the Blue Keeper but is killed by a Peltrola clone. Renmaru is alive but in critical condition, and D’s team is promoted to full Rangers. A secret organization is working to take them down. The Blue Keeper’s Divine Artifact goes missing, and Tokita discovers Suzukiri stole the Red Keeper’s cartridge. D is determined to complete his mission.
