Some people strongly supports the idea that is love is boundless, regardless of the distance. In fact, many people argue that the long distance actually increases love. It may sounds cheesy, but that idea is quite practical and believable. We not be the expert in the area of love but we believe that that distance doesn’t matter if two people are deeply and madly in love with each other. And that also includes the distance as vast as the outer space.

Sazan is a human who worked in an outer space as Terran. There are other smart life forms other than humans that not only found to be exist but live peacefully with humans. One day, Sazan inadvertently miss the last ride back to Earth, therefore he is stuck in the outer space. Luckily one red-headed girl found him and gives him a ride. He didn’t refuse the offer and took the ride with her. It is then revealed that Mina is a comet girl which means that she contains a large amount of much-coveted energy. And so the pirates are interested in her trails.

The first and most significant things that catches the attention of any manga reader is that this comes in full-color which means all pages from start till end are colorful. It doesn’t mean that we do not like colorless manga but the joy of reading the manga with vibrant colors is on another level. It fills the remaining void leaving no room for imagination when it comes to visuals and all our focus on the plot and dialogue. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t like colorful things.

The series was released in the era of space operas. It’s quite evident with the title and storyline. So you can expect everything that could happen in that era to be found in this series. Everything from plot and twists to visuals and even the illogical depiction of physics. But it’s still enjoyable as it also feels nostalgic. It makes us feel like a young kid again. No doubt, that era was a great in terms of manga and the feeling of never fades away no matter how many times we go down the memory lane.

The word, omnibus means compilation if you didn’t know. It is the collection of arcs, series or volumes. It means that that the entire series is compiled in one book. So all our worries about the cliffhangers and curiosity for the next chapter or volume can be kept aside while reading this book. It gives off the feeling of satisfaction as you can read the entire book in one go without taking any break. Sazan & Comet Girl is the series consisting of 500 pages and is the roller-coaster ride of entertainment and emotions. You might compare this love story with Anna and Kristoff of Frozen but its way better than that.

Sazan & Comet Girl takes us decades back and remind us manga of those golden times manga like Dragon Ball, Ranma ½ and some other legendary manga. Everything about it is nostalgic. It is a thrilling ride full of colors and lively art. Although, at first it might look like outdated when it comes to modern standards and during that era people didn’t really care about realism.
