There is too much pressure, since Tsumura takes up the job to alter the dress designed by Yanagida, for Chiyuki. It’s certainly not what they thought to happen and was much unexpected. But, it’s good for their growth and experience in the fashion industry. It will be the first and a great learning experience for them. Chiyuki will be making the first appearance on the ramp as a model and she will be modelling for the designer who matter the most on the show. Tsumura is not going to be in the limelight and will not get any credit for his work from the people other than behind the scene. But I’m glad to see people praising hi work. It is a big deal since, he has no pas experience or never went to school like others. Even without any credit or being in the spotlight, he is making a good progress.
It starts with Tsumura asking about task for altering the dress and giving Chiyuki the opportunity to walk on the runway. But there is too much pressure that it almost seems impossible to handle and so he becomes extremely nervous and anxious. He has all the reasons to panic, he has to redesign the dress in few minutes at a place unfamiliar to him and that too not for a school project but an actual fashion show. It is make or break situation for him as it’s going to have big impact for the rest of his life. He can’t fail here.
When he gets the task, he starts to panic and can’t think straight. But, Chiyuki snaps him out of it with a slap. The slap helps him to focus and he indulge in making the alteration. They were not professional level but not bad too. Although he couldn’t finish it within the deadline and if there were not any other models, it could have been the end of his career in the fashion industry. It was the enthusiasm of these two that made them center of the attention. It was far from reality but it’s good to see them succeed and it was the big success.
The rest of the show was saved by Chiyuki with her great performance and display the dress that was meant for her. She didn’t had to work as hard as Tsumura did but till I like the monologue “When you don’t fit in you make a fool of yourself”.
It’s good to see them supporting and creating opportunities for each other. They both are similar as they both have some weaknesses when I some com to fashion. One thing which is constant and will never change is that they will be criticized for their heights. But Chiyuki will do anything she can to overcome that obstacle. Her debut as a model on the runway is the prove of that. Even the journalist was inspired by that. I loved the part when Chiyuki recalls the two things not to do which are fall and smile on the runway. That was wonderful.
It was a great episode and enjoyable from the point Tsumura couldn’t think straight to the point the mysterious girl appeared and started criticizing. But I think it’s not a big deal in the fashion industry. I’m happy that Tsumura and Chiyuki succeeded and fortunately nothing wrong happen throughout the performance so they were also lucky as they didn’t follow all the rules so they were fortunate that they could make it as it’s unlikely to happen again in the future.
Three episodes have been aired and so far the anime is going great and I would recommend to these who haven’t been following this series. Every episode makes you want more. The soundtrack and music are also good and the plot looks promising. At some point it does feel like far from reality but it still enjoyable. And as usual I am looking forward to the next episode
