On Tuesday it was declared by the Hong Kong anime movie distributor Neofilms that on January 23 it will release the anime movie version Gekijō-ban Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion: Mirai Kara Shinsoku no ALFA-X inspired by the Shinkalion toy line by Takara Tomy in Hong Kong.
On December 27 the movie will release in Japan.
The movie revolves around ALFA-X, JR East Japan’s exploratory model for the up and coming age of shinkansen projectile trains.
Rie Kugimiya plays a nine-year-old Hokuto, the dad of hero Hayato. Hokuto goes from the past to the present and aides Hayato shield Earth from another risk, and furthermore to discover his way back to his own time. Kentaro Ito and Kōtarō Yoshida play the foes Nahane and Ohanef, correspondingly.
To direct the movie at OLM Takahiro Ikezoe is coming back. The writer Kento Shimoyama, designer of characters Yuka Aono, Keita Hattori the mechanical designer, composer of music Toshiyuki Watanabe, and director of sound Masafumi Mima are also coming back. Synergy SP is teaming up for the animation production, and the CG animation is being produced by SMDE. The theme song called Gattan Gotton Go! will be presented by BOYS AND MEN.
In the TV anime series story plot, Hayato Hayasugi and other youngsters fill in as conductors to direct the Shinkalion. The youngsters must cooperate with the grown-ups of the “Shinkansen Ultra Evolution Institute” (SUEI) to vanquish a beast that resembles an ebony Bullet train.
The Shinkalion robots are different models of genuine Japanese projectile trains (shinkansen) that change into robots to battle an obscure insidiousness to ensure the security and tranquility of Japan.
