The anime adaptation of PlayStation 4 video game Shin Sakura Taisen (New Sakura Wars) is set to release in 2020 as announced by Sega Games x Atlus booth stage at Tokyo Game Show 2019.
The story of the anime will revolve around a new story featuring the protagonist Sakura Amamiya, a member of Teikoku Kagekidan’s Hanagumi (Imperial Theatre Revue Flower Troupe.
The anime will be directed by Manabu Ono. Manabu Ono, Tatsuhiko Urahata and Sanzigen Inc are in charge of series composition and animation production.
The opening teghem is the remake of the main theme song of the game, ‘Geki! Teikoku Kagekidan’, written by Oji Hiro. It is composed by Kohei Tanaka
