The magazine stated that the story revolves around the final war of the well known historical Japanese personality named Hijikata Toshizō. The story will start in 1868, both the principal year of the new Meiji time, and the year prior to Hijikata’s demise during the Battle of Hakodate in 1869. The magazine additionally prods that the story will focus on Ichimura Tetsunosuke, another individual from the Shinsengumi, who administered Hijikata’s last minutes.
