From Wednesday a trailer is broadcast by ASMIK Ace for a new movie called Eiga Sumikko Gurashi: Tobidasu Ehon to Himitsu no Ko which is on the characters of San-X’s “Sumikko Gurashi” which is an anime film. By the trailer we get to know that the story tellers are going to be Yoshihiko Inohara and Manami Nanjō. The new and innovative visuals are also revealed of the film by the movie’s personnel.
On 8 November the movie will release in Japan.
This movie is going to be directed at Fanworks by Mankyū (Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls Theater, Jaku-San-Sei Million Arthur). The script is going to be written by Takashi Sumita (Europe Kikaku). The art direction is under the supervision of Kaori Hino (Napping Princess, In This Corner of the World).
In start we can witness that the characters of Sumikko Gurashi go to the same café they constantly go and there they found a strange book at the cellar of that café. In this film we will be able to see some new places, things and even some new personalities.
In 2012 Sumikko Gurashi was first appeared and was seen with a shade of negative characteristics who always wanted to be at the corner of a room. The other characters are following: a polar bear but he doesn’t like cold named Shirokuma. A confuse penguin who has a doubt that whether it is a penguin or something else and that the reason she have a question mark on her name which is Penguin? We also have an introvert cat named “Neko”, a section of red meat cutlet that was not fully eaten named “Tonkatsu” and an only living dinosaur who always conceal his personality from others called “Tokage”.
There are toys, books, games, and stationeries etc which are about this content.
An anime called Rilakkuma and Kaoru which was first appeared worldwide on 19 April on Netflix was also inspired by the character of San-X’s Rilakkuma.
