My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising Fell to #7, Film Kaiji Final Game Opens at #2,

The new live action movie Kaiji Final Game based on the manga Gambling Apocalypse Kaiji by Nobuyuki Fukumoto got the 2nd position in its starting week in Japan. On Saturday and Sunday the movie vended 248,000 tickets and generated 362 million yen and from Friday to Monday the movie has vended 437,000 tickets and generated 616 million yen. The starting week earnings of the movie are 3.5% more as compared to the starting week earnings of the 2011 movie Kaiji 2 – Jinsei Dakkai Game. Although the movie vended less tickets as compared to Frozen 2 but it generated more yen throughout the week as compared to Frozen 2.

On January 10 the Kaiji Final Game was released in Japan on 333 screens. The movie has highlighted as the final chapter of the series in which the whole original story is by Fukumoto.

From the earlier two movies Tōya Satō came back to direct the new movie and Tatsuya Fujiwara also came back to continue his role as the titular character.

The subsequent movie My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising of the franchise My Hero Academia fell to the 7th position from 4th position in its 4th week. It generated 72,909,950 yen heading to an aggregate of 1,323,255,050 yen. On December 20 the movie was released on 313 screens and from December 21 to 22 it vended 224,000 tickets and on those two days it generated 283 million yen.

As like the earlier movie My Hero Academia: Two Heroes manga maker Kōhei Horikoshi had entirely managed the movie and he also supervised the designs of the characters. From the series and earlier movie Kenji Nagasaki and Yousuke Kuroda came back as the director and script writer concurrently. For designing the character Yoshihiko Umakoshi came back and the music composition was again done by Yuuki Hayashi. The movie was animated by BONES. The theme song called Higher Ground was presented by Rock band sumika.

In its 4th week the Kamen Rider Reiwa: The First Generation fell to 8th position from 5th position. From Friday to Sunday it generated 46,643,710 yen and has generated an aggregate profit of 824,085,910 yen. On December 21 the movie was released and from December 21 to 22 it generated 248,578,270 yen.

The live action movie of manga Kiss Me at the Stroke of Midnight by Rin Mikimoto fell to the 9th position from 8th position in its 6th week. From Friday to Sunday the movie generated 36,011,600 yen and has generated an aggregate of 1,075,222,800 yen.

On December 6 the movie was released in Japan on 255 screens. The movie was directed by Takehiko Shinjō along with script penned by Haruka Ōkita. Ryota Katayose from the GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE starred in the movie as the character Kaede Ayasa and the character of Hinana Hanazawa was played by Kanna Hashimoto.

The manga is being issued in English by Kodansha Comics.

The 6th movie Eiga Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Gakuen Y – Neko wa Hero ni Nareru ka of the franchise Yo-kai Watch fell to the 10th position from 6th position in its 5th week. From Friday to Sunday it generated 35,730,600 yen for an aggregate profit of 673,653,150 yen.

The story of the new movie is situated in Y-Academy, a tip top school that just permits understudies with top class capacities to enter. The hero Jinpei Jiba and his one of kind companions assume the riddles of the school as changing legends.

The new anime series Yo-kai Gakuen Y: N to no Sōgū of the Yo-kai Watch carries on the movie story of the same academy. On December 27 the series was debuted.

The anime movie King of Prism All Stars: Prism Show Best 10 released outside the list of top 10 but still it vended 26,000 tickets and generated 45 million yen in its primary four days. On January 10, Friday the movie was released in Japan in 31 cinemas.

The anime movie version On-Gaku: Our Sound of the manga Ongaku by Hiroyuki Ohashi got the 3rd position in the small cinema rankings in its starting week. On January 11 the movie was released in Japan.

In September the movie was awarded with the Ottawa International Animation Festival’s Grand Prize for Feature Animation award. In November the movie also participated in the 6th annual New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival in the Featured Animation Competition category.

In its starting week the theatrical movie edition of the anime of manga The Island of Giant Insects by Yasutaka Fujimi, RED ICE, and Shu Hirose got the 5th position in the small cinema ranking. On January 10 the movie was released in Japan and on the similar day Crunchyroll started the telecast of the movie and OVA.
