My Hero Academia Plot
My Hero Academia follows Izuku Midoriya, a normal, ordinary boy who was born with no powers in a world where everyone has superpowers. Despite having his classmates bully him because he doesn’t have a quirk, he still aspires to be a great hero like his idol, All Might. While visiting the U.A. High School training grounds, he comes across All Might and is bestowed with his powers, which results in him enrolling in the most prestigious school for heroes. Despite this, he must conceal his new powers from his peers because doing so would violate U.A.’s strict license and entrance exam requirements. Along with dealing with classes and bullies, the show explores the consequences of possessing superpowers and its effect on society as a whole.

Episode 30: Climax
Tenya is seen in the hospital after the battle, along with Izuku and Shoto. In Recovery Girl’s office, she remarks on Hero Killer: Stain’s attempts to kill both Tenya and Izuku. While she instructs them to remain in the room for a while longer, she makes it clear that they are both alright before leaving.
Izuku expresses his disbelief that Tenya had to endure such a miserable event due to him, but Tenya quickly dismisses his concerns.
He reveals that Tensei taught him that he should become a hero for his own reasons and not for the sake of others, and as a result of this counsel, Tenya has decided to follow his father’s footsteps and become a hero in order to assist someone in need. He will be a great hero, no doubt about it!
The only one who was directly hit by Stain was him. His Quirk Overhaul is now more powerful, and he can utilize it without the negative consequences of losing his own health. To put it simply, the improvements are huge, and even Tensei is amazed by them.
During the Hero Killer Arc, Tenya’s abilities are put to use as he rushes to rescue Izuku, but he rapidly loses his composure when he finds Stain is also present. In addition to all that, tenya also remains at Izuku’s side as Recovery Girl treats his injuries after the fight with Katsuki Bakugo.
This episode is perhaps the most reviled because it is a filler episode, though some fans don’t think of it that way.
Rather than being a filler episode, it’s more of a side tale that plays alongside the main action. It also gives Tenya an opportunity to shine. Tenya is given the opportunity to use his new Quirk Overhaul in combat against Stain in this episode, and it actually works efficiently for him despite being slightly weak in comparison to Deku and All Might.
Using Recipro Burst, he was able to maintain the upper hand on Stain for some time and even broke his sword with repeated usage of the technique.
Episode 34: Gear up for the Final Exams
Midnight and Mt. Lady resume their public fight on television, with Midnight claiming that her early success was due to sexual attraction. This enrages Mt. Lady, who fights Midnight over their ages. Minoru is watching the show with the TV team, and they see how he has been rooting on Mt. Lady the entire time. Minoru states that he only admires heroes who have a cool demeanor, and that a hero should maintain this demeanor even in private life. He then fabricates his own “fanservice” scenario with his imaginary heroines, prompting the crew to make remarks about his lecherous nature. just then, Midnight’s mother calls to inform her that she has a visitor.
Meanwhile, Izuku and Shoto are studying for exams, but Shoto’s study session is interrupted by his sister Mei. Izuku attempts to convince Mei to leave her room so that Shoto can study, but Mei is unimpressed and informs Izuku that he should also take a break. The phone rings,Izuku answers the phone to discover Momo on the other end, wondering whether he’s available to study with her for finals. She claims to have already approached Eijiro and Fumikage, who quickly accepted. Midoriya then informs Shoto of the study session, but Denki manages to yank the phone out of his hands in the middle of the conversation. Denki invites Izuku to study alongside him and Mina, and the two of them make an unsuccessful attempt to get Izuku to join them.
Back at her apartment, Mt. Lady’s mother is speaking with her visitor, who is none other than Mr. Compress’s sister, Black Widow. Her mother informs her that she has been concerned ever since Mt. Lady began dressing up in costume, but Black Widow assures her that she need not be concerned because she is only there to discuss work. She inquires if Mt. Lady is aware of the League of Villains’ recent operations and if they have any information on the matter. Mt. Lady states that she has not heard anything about it and inquires as to what they have been up to recently. Black Widow adds that the League was in chaos following the downfall of Stain and its old commander disappeared. She then invites Mt. Lady to become a member of the Hero team that is on the hunt for the villains.
This episode serves as a filler since the anime’s story has caught up to the manga, and was utilized to give characters their time onscreen while the manga was still being written.
Episode 39: Game Start
Minoru, Izuku, and Denki make their way to the pool. Denki puts on a pair of swim goggles and unintentionally electrocutes himself as a result. Izuku warns him not to touch the water or he will suffer an electric shock. Minoru, on the other hand, is too preoccupied with flirting with girls to pay attention. All of a sudden, a young lady in a swimsuit approaches them. Izuku believes she is coming to ask him out on a date, but she has simply come to say hello to Denki. The girl then asks if they’ve seen Katsuki Bakugo and then walks away.
As Denki looks on enviously at the girls in their swimsuits, Izuku thinks back to his training with Gran Torino and All Might’s teaching, that true strength is not about making yourself look strong but to protect what is important to you. Suddenly, Katsuki shows up and asks if he has seen Izuku. Izuku says that he just saw him in the pool but he left. Katsuki decides to go home instead. As he walks away, Denki notices that his hands are shaking and wonders what could have happened to him.
Shota explains at the U.A. High School training camp that they will not be training in their usual Meta-Human classes this time because they will be focusing on normal physical training to improve their physical strength and stamina. They will, however, have a few simulated battles against professional Heroes available to students who request them.
Izuku and his classmates attend an orientation meeting, Shota, Aizawa, Eraserhead, Midnight, Gunhead, Ingenium, and Thirteen are all present. Eraserhead arrives and informs the students that they will be undergoing a physical strength training camp. He warns them that this training will be more rigorous than they are accustomed to and warns them not to take it easy. Shota explains that the training camp is designed to teach them how to fight in a real battle, not just against villains, but also against other heroes who may wish to use their powers to gain an advantage in an upcoming battle.
This is a filler episode because the training camp is not an important component of the overall story.
The first day of the U.A. High School Training Camp is covered in this episode. Eri and Shota Aizawa, Midnight, Gunhead, Ingenium, Thirteen, and Eraserhead are all present.
The episode opens with a recap of Izuku’s duel with Katsuki Bakugo at the U.A. Sports Festival, in which Izuku uses One For All to its full potential and defeats Katsuki, taking first place in the competition. After mentioning that he got into U.A’s Hero Department, Izuku informs his classmates that they will be going on a training camp with All Might.
Episode 40: Wild, Wild Pussycats
After Shota gives up trying to keep order, he mentions that they’re almost there. The students get out of the bus excitedly and go into the woods. Shota cautions them to remain aware of their surroundings and emphasizes that they must not lose sight of their initial aim. When training camp begins, Izuku feels excited and remembers the moment he ran into All Might in the forest after receiving his quirk. Katsuki then talks about how he’s better than Izuku because he won’t have to go to training camp because he got a perfect score on his End of Term Test, but the rest of the class soon deflates him for being overconfident. Eijiro predicts Katsuki will fail the practical test. Katsuki declares that he will not fail and promises to return to U.A. High School as a top student next semester.
Students are allowed a brief moment of rest before their homeroom teacher assigns them their training regimen. While some students are looking forward to the training, others are frustrated because they have no idea what they’re doing and cannot ask questions until after their purification rite is complete. Shota informs them that the purification rite prepares them for the natural elements and also reminds them not to leave their assigned campsite or they will be expelled from camp and must repeat the school year. Except for Izuku, who Shota asks to stay behind, all the students leave for their rites.
This is a filler episode because the next few episodes will feature different activities.
