It has been announced that Kyouchu Rettou (The Island of Giant Insects will be releasing in theatres in 2020. The series launched OVA in June after breaking news about the possibility of TV anime adaptation. Initially, OVA was successfully launched as a crowdfunding project. However, it will be released soon as it has been licensed by Crunchyroll.
The Island of Giant Insects is the story about plane crash on an island with a bunch of class students on a school trip. While hoping that they will be rescued within 3 days, they struggle to survive the island which is inhibited with giant insects which feast on humans. Kyouchu Rettou is a horror anime which is about survival of the students and how they get off the island.
The anime will be directed by Takeo Takahashi. Whereas, Shigeru is the script writer. Takayuki Noguchi is in charge of character design and Passione is the studio in charge.
