Komi Cant Communicate Characters
Komi Cant Communicate Characters

Don’t you ever feel like love makes everything better, guys? Well! It does so for me. I do mean everything. Even anime, whether it is comedy, shounen, fantasy, or Isekai.

But with comedy, it’s just too incredible. Consider Horimiya as an example. This anime is incredible. Everything—comedy, romance, and drama—is flawless. Nonetheless, the short duration of rom-coms is one of their drawbacks. They typically feature 12 episodes.

Komi-san Can’t Communicate! My friends, this particular rom-com is a masterpiece. The comedy and romance are the ideal balance. The characters are also fantastic. Characters from Komi-san Can’t Communicate are discussed on this list. So let’s just discuss them.

The anime series Komi Can’t Communicate is an adored work of art that has charmed fans worldwide. It follows the story of high-school student Shoko Komi, who is unable to communicate with others due to her extreme shyness. The show has been an immense success due to its relatable plot and captivating characters.

In this article, we will explore the fascinating art of Komi Can’t Communicate anime characters. From the show’s main characters to its supporting cast, we will look at how Komi Can’t Communicate has created a unique world of characters that its fans can’t get enough of.

Komi Cant Communicate Characters

Agari Himiko

Agari Himiko
Agari Himiko

We’ve all seen people who are too scared to go on stage, right? People who don’t trust themselves. I’m not very sure of myself, and I’m afraid to go on stage.

Himiko Agari is also like this. She is nervous around people because she is afraid of them. But she secretly loves our main character, Komi Shouko. She is also BEAUTIFUL, which is another thing boys love about her, huihuihui.

Agari Matsuri

Agari Matsuri
Agari Matsuri

Another person we can all identify with. Himiko Agari’s aunt is named Agari Matsuri. Like Himiko, Matsuri is also a goofball. She has a booth at festivals, so you’d think she’d be a hard worker, but she’s the exact opposite. She even scared her whole staff. She was first seen in Chapter 193 of the manga.

Ase Shibuki

Ase Shibuki
Ase Shibuki

This one is intriguing right now. One of the supporting characters, Ase Shibuki, only serves to highlight the comical nature of the manga.

Ase is very anxious. What are your worries? her idea of herself. She believes that because she perspires a lot, people would judge her. This issue affects the majority of us here, don’t we?

She comes off as being quite anxious and afraid that people will judge her even in the first chapter. Those who perspire a lot can picture this. Chapter 151 of a manga.

Baba Kingyo

Baba Kingyo
Baba Kingyo

Baba Kingyo is merely a supporting figure. He is also known for the word “DAZ RIGHT,” though. She also completed Manga Chapter 200’s chapter update.

Such characters appeal to me much since they add to the rom-com genre’s already hilarious humour.

Chiarai Shigeo

Chiarai Shigeo
Chiarai Shigeo

a male student who only comments on the female students. We have all encountered such men during our time in high school and college, don’t we?

Another minor character that is rarely seen in the manga is Chiarai Shigeo. Yet, he can be seen chatting about girls with his friends in one chapter. Chapter 77 of a manga.

Why do guys always have thoughts about girls, I wonder? Do they not have better things to do?

Chusaku Komitani

Chusaku Komitani
Chusaku Komitani

Another supporting character! The primary characters haven’t yet been introduced, have they?

Naruse Shitoni, who we’ll meet later in the list and who bills himself as the protagonist, is good friends with Chusaku Komitani.

Telling Tadano Hitohito that Naruse isn’t a nasty guy is the sole significant contribution Chuskau makes to the narrative. He is only a minor character outside from this.

Emoyama Yuragi

Emoyama Yuragi
Emoyama Yuragi

This character is actually rather fascinating. She is only a minor character, but she is simply too cute. Emoyama examines her classmates intently and is well familiar with each one. a little bit eerie, yes?

Every time she notices something emotionally charged, Emoyama uses her catchphrase, “Emo,” to describe it. She also sports a headband bearing the phrase “E=mc2” on it.

Emoyama and her friends met Komi Shouko and Tadano Hitohito at a cultural event. Emoyama passed out that day as a result of excessive emotional exposure. Chapter 232 of a manga.

Gorimi

Gorimi
Gorimi

Do you like strong, muscular women or weak, attractive women? They seem like sweet but frail girls to me. It’s simply my personal perspective; I’m not suggesting buffy gals aren’t attractive. These are also lovely, CUZ DARN.

Gorimi, the High School’s head librarian and disciplinary officer, is a powerful and lean young woman. Every time someone is boisterous in the library, she hits their heads with a paper fan that she brings with her.

She even spanked the vice principal for awarding Shoko too high marks in the athletic competition. Chapter 208 of a manga.

Ichou Setoka

Ichou Setoka
Ichou Setoka

Student council presidents truly are fantastic, aren’t they? The Student Council President is always the most conscientious and hardworking student in anime, after all. Well! For the President in Komi-san Can’t Communicate, we can’t say the same. Ichou Setoka is the president of the student council, but she exemplifies everything that a student council president should not be. She prioritises things that shouldn’t be prioritised and is generally messy.

As she got tired of standing, she once took the vice principal’s microphone and ordered the pupils to sit down.

Inaka Nokoko

Inaka Nokoko
Inaka Nokoko

Those who come from rural areas or impoverished places typically have an inferiority complex. They are still superior to us city dwellers, in my opinion, because our lifestyle is much more unhealthy than theirs.

Our female protagonist, Komi Shouko, has a buddy named Inaka Nokoko. Inaka looks up to Shouko because she aspires to be a city girl and sees Shouko as the ideal role model. She didn’t even talk to anyone at school because of her complex, but during their school trip to Kyoto, she understood that no one gave a damn about her accent or anything else.

Karisu Masa

Karisu Masa
Karisu Masa

The female lead, Komi Shouko, is quite attractive, as we are all aware. Thus it becomes appropriate that we discuss Karisu Masa, her hairstylist.

Karisu has a unique talent in that she can tell what Komi wants even when they are not speaking. Very amazing, no?

Moreover, Karisu is a professional and an expert. Her customers seem to be satisfied with her job as well. How adorable is that?

Katai Makoto

Katai Makoto
Katai Makoto

Don’t you frequently see teenagers who avoid going to school out of fear of being bullied? Well! Teenagers like that are common, and I detest bullying in general.

Similar to him is student Katai Makoto. He stayed at home when high school started because he was too scared to go since he was worried about bullying and other things. He started exercising and had his hair coloured. Yet it ended up making people think of him as a troublemaker.

He and Komi Shouko, our female lead, are similar in that they both have trouble communicating. Even though he dislikes Komi, Katai regards her as his Komyu Master. Lmaoo!

Katai Ai

Katai Ai
Katai Ai

Katai Ai is Katai Makoto’s younger sister. Katai Ai typically attempts to project the image of a hardliner while donning a motorbike gang outfit. She even has a gangster-like personality. She has a history of being really violent. She also has a nice side, though. Surprised that she has a romantic side?

Ai adores and respects Komi Shousuke. She even prepared him a lunchbox, which he refused, which is really heartbreaking!

Katou Mikuni

Katou Mikuni
Katou Mikuni

Along with Sasaki Ayami, Katou Mikuni is a member of the group travelling with Komi. She and Sasaki devised a plan to make Komi’s journey as enjoyable as they could. Things didn’t go as planned, though, since Katou and Sasaki got into a brawl. Well! Komi put an abrupt end to the conflict.

Later in the narrative, Katou acknowledges that she feels something for Katai Makoto and that she was even duped into taking his seat.

Katou Yakuna

Katou Yakuna
Katou Yakuna

The mother of Katou Mikuni is Katou Yakuna. She came off as being rather tough and strict at first. But when Komi and Ayumi went to see Katou’s family, she handed them both freshly made kimonos. And like most mothers, she is kind and courteous.

Kishi Himeko

Kishi Himeko
Kishi Himeko

A further supporting figure whose face is typically obscured. Also, she was included among Komi’s friends. She belongs to Ren Yamai’s girl band.

Her frequent use of a Knight’s Armor on her arms and legs is another intriguing feature about her.

Kiyoko Isagi

Kiyoko Isagi
Kiyoko Isagi

Another Student Council president of the list. Kiyoko Isagi is basically the descendant of Ichou Setoka. Ichou Setoka was the main motivation for Kiyoko Isagi.

Isagi has severe mysophobia. Mysophobia is basically a fear of filthy and dirty things, so she avoids touching people and doesn’t let people touch her.

Once, Ase Shibuki tapped Kiyoko on her shoulder as a greeting, but this didn’t turn out well as Kiyoko reacted harshly and called Ase “Filthy“.

Akira Komi

Akira Komi
Akira Komi

The siblings Shouko and Shousuke Komi are cousins of Akira Komi.

Shouko initially gave her the creeps because of her inability to speak and unceasing staring.

Later on in the narrative, though, they were allowed to interact while celebrating the Obon festival.

Komi Masayoshi

Komi Masayoshi
Komi Masayoshi

Komi Masayoshi is the father of Komi Shouko and Komi Shousuke. Masayoshi struggles with verbal communication, much like his kids do. He is, nonetheless, quite skilled at non-verbal communication.

Despite how he appears, Masayoshi is a rather sympathetic person. He has some talent as well. He is a true pro at baking, fixing motorcycles, and constructing sandcastles. Quite intriguing, huh?

Komi Ryouko

Komi Ryouko
Komi Ryouko

Aunt Ryouko Komi is from Shouko’s father’s side. She intimidates Shouko occasionally without realising it because she is just as animated as her mother.

Black eyes and dark purple hair in a bob characterise Ryouko. She is decked up in a green kimono, a white apron, white stockings, and sandals.

Ryouko shows up and welcomes Shuuko when her brother-in-family law’s enters. When Ryouko sees Shouko, she complements her niece on her attractive appearance, lets her know that her daughter Akira is also present, and invites Shouko to play with her. Also, it is indicated that she is feeling somewhat shy because she hasn’t seen Shouko in such a long time before continuing to speak to Shuuko.

Sadayoshi Komi

Sadayoshi Komi
Sadayoshi Komi

Uncle to Shouko Komi is Sadayoshi Komi. Shouko believes that Sadayashi and his brother Komi Masayoshi get along well due of the similarities in their personalities.

During the Onbu festival, he made his manga chapter debut in Chapter 45.

Komi Shouko

Komi Shouko
Komi Shouko

Lastly, Komi Shouko, the show’s female lead. You must have guessed by now that Komi Shouko’s inability to interact socially results from her worry and fear of rejection rather than from a disorder.

Tadano Hitohito, the show’s male lead, is her first friend. Shouko struggles with communication, but she has a goal of having 100 friends, and Tadano is the one who is assisting her.

Simply said, their interplay is too sweet and funny at the same time.

Hey, I almost forgot to say that Komi has long, black hair and is really attractive.

Komi Shuuko

Komi Shuuko
Komi Shuuko

Komi Shuuko is Komi Shouko’s and Komi Shousuke’s mother. Shuuko talks a lot more than either of them do. Needless to mention, she is rather attractive. Nimi Shouko used to be Komi Shuuko’s name before she got married.

Shuuko, in contrast to his husband, behaves in an odd and childlike manner. She even referred to herself as “Forever 17 years old” when she spoke to Hitohito and Najimi.

Komi Yuiko

Komi Yuiko
Komi Yuiko

The grandma of Komi Shouko and Komi Shousuke is Komi Yuiko. Yuiko is the same as most anime grandparents, who appear severe on the outside but are very kind and compassionate on the inside. She gives her family a lot of thought, especially Shouko. Even without Shouko saying a word, she comprehends what she says.

Najimi Osana

Najimi Osana
Najimi Osana

Another character you often see in anime and manga. Najimi Osana is what weebs calls a “Trap”. It means that their gender is unknown. Some people perceive them as males, while others as female.

Najimi Osana can be considered the complete opposite of Komi Shouko, as she possesses extreme communication skills and can befriend anyone within minutes.

They sometimes wear male clothes, like in Middle school, and sometimes female clothes, like in High school. Pretty weird, right?

Despite all this, they are close friends of Komi Shouko and want to help her achieve her dream of making 100 friends.

One interesting fact about Najimi is that they can listen to up to 8 people speaking at the same time due to her insane communication skills.

Naruse Shisuto

Naruse Shisuto
Naruse Shisuto

Now, this person is hilarious. I think his main job in the manga is to make me laugh.

Naruse Shisuto is the kind of person who is only interested in himself. He thinks he is the main character in his own story and that others are his fans. Most people don’t like him because of this. Lmaooo!

At first, he thought he was the same as Komi because she also had a lot of fans, so he tried to talk to her. But he failed very badly. He becomes good friends with Tadano Hitohito and Katai Makoto later in the series. His Manga debut was in Manga Chapter 102

Nene Onemine

Nene Onemine
Nene Onemine

Nene Onemine is like the class’s mum. She cares a lot about her classmates and is very aware of what goes on around her. She worries a lot about Hitohito, who is usually sent on errands.

Nene knows pretty much what’s going on between Komi and Hitohito, but Komi and Hitohito don’t know how each other feels. Nene wants to help Komi. Nene can also be seen helping Komi with things like getting ready for the class’s cultural festival.

Omojiri Miwa

Omojiri Miwa
Omojiri Miwa

Teachers play a big role in our lives. We can’t imagine making it in life without them. Omojiri Miwa works at Itan Private High School as a teacher.

She is a great teacher and cares a lot about her students. She finishes her work early and tries to be as proper and neat as possible. Even more, she helps other teachers do their jobs.

But she has two sides to her. How? When she gets home, she changes into a completely different person. She doesn’t want to do anything, like get up.

Onigashima Akako

Onigashima Akako
Onigashima Akako

Ren Yamai’s group includes Onigashima Akako. Akako’s first appearance in a manga was in Manga Chapter 19, where she and Komi Shouko play Saitou.

Later, she shows up in Manga Chapter 121, where Tadano watches her go about her daily life. He notices that Akako usually gets along with everyone, but she can get very angry over small things, like when her headphones get tangled. Well! She was there with Komi to figure out what was going on.

Otori Kaede

Otori Kaede
Otori Kaede

Otori Kaede is the kind of girl who daydreams a lot and does everything a little bit slowly. Even so, she is very nice and cares a lot about her friends, especially Komi.

The first time Kaede was seen was in Volume 5 of the manga. Volume 5 is mostly about the sports festival, and it says that Kaede is on the sports committee. She asks Komi to help her with her work, and the two of them soon become very close. Kaede also gets Komi to talk for the second time.

Another interesting thing about her is that she can watch one thing or motion, like an oil timer, for hours at a time.

Ramen Darou

Ramen Darou
Ramen Darou

We’ll discuss a restaurant right now. Well! A network of eateries called Ramen Darou operates all around the city. Tadano, Najimi, and Agari took Shouko to a ramen restaurant because that was something he had always wanted to do.

This restaurant has five golden commandments that everyone is required to abide by, which is an unusual detail about it.

One other thing: the restaurant’s proprietor is a terrible communicator who also has a communication handicap. He could quite easily communicate silently with Soo and Komi. Chapter 28 of a manga

Rei Natsukido

Rei Natsukido
Rei Natsukido

Another persona with poor communication skills. The buddy of Komi Shuuko’s daughter is Rei Natsukido. She frequently stays at Komi’s apartment because her parents are out at work.

She lacks friends and communicates poorly, just like Shouko. Her parents’ abroad employment is another factor in this situation. She frequently switches schools.

She is a Tsundere, which is another intriguing aspect of her. You people must be aware of what Tsundere are, right?

Ren Yamai

Ren Yamai
Ren Yamai

Ren Yamai is a name that you have probably seen mentioned several times on this blog. Who is she, you might be wondering? Well! I’ll give you some background on her.

The females in class 1-1 are led by Ren Yamai. Ren worships Komi Shouko and is a tremendous fan of her. She refers to herself as Komi-sama and hates everyone who approaches her. She started to despise Hitohito. Even worse, in Volume 2 of the manga, she abducted him.

Ren has also made repeated efforts to touch Komi’s chest and see her pants. Very disgusting, huh? She is truly a weirdo.

Rumiko Manbagi

Rumiko Manbagi
Rumiko Manbagi

Together with Komi Shouko, Tadano Hitohito, and other members of the core group, Rumiko Manbagi is also a member. She is the first person Komi has made a friendship with on her own, without assistance.

Rumiko talks a lot and is quite animated, unlike Komi. …,., and., and how to., and how to., and how to., and how to., and how to. They do, however, have some things in common, such as their shared desire for friends.

Tadano Hitohito is Rumiko’s crush as well, huihuihui!

Sasaki Ayami

Sasaki Ayami
Sasaki Ayami

One more auxiliary character is Sasako Ayami. She went on the pitch excursion with Komi Shouko’s group. To ensure that Komi has the best time possible on this trip, Sasaki and Katou Mikuni even arranged a deal. Chapter 104 of a manga

When ninjas attempted to capture Komi, Sasaki was the one who saved her. Even though it was later discovered that the ninjas were actors, LOL!

Sasaki is an adept with yo-yos, which is an intriguing fact. Yess! They’re Yoyos. Even in the World Yoyo Championship, she finished in third place.

Satou Amami

Satou Amami
Satou Amami

Another ancillary character that only makes brief appearances in the manga and serves primarily as a background figure.

Satou embodies the archetype of a character who readily places their faith in others and offers assistance even before being asked for it. She was so intent on making her fellow student, Lmaoo, happy that she even consented to bringing her mother’s pants. Isn’t that going a bit too far?

In addition to that, Satou is a neatnik. She gets to school earlier than everyone else in order to tidy the classroom.

Shinobino Mono

Shinobino Mono
Shinobino Mono

Another minor character, Shinobino Mono appears in only a few scenes. His attire is the most noticeable aspect of his appearance. In addition to the required school attire, he can be identified by the bandana, the mask, and the scarf that he wears.

In Manga Chapters 75 and 77, he is seen conversing with Chiarai and Sanoda about females. Sanoda is also present.

Netsuno Chika

Netsuno Chika
Netsuno Chika

Isn’t it wonderful to have a friendly rival? I’ve always desired an opponent who can inspire me to work harder. The elder of Komi Shouko and Tadano Hitohito is Netsuno Chika. In athletics, she does, however, engage in a friendly competition with Komi.

Netsuno is incredibly active and athletic. She also has a strange habit of labelling people as hot or cool in order to criticise them. Hot-blooded here refers to being enthused.

Also Read:  What is Senpai?

During the sports festival was when she first met Komi. Komi did not respond when she attempted to greet her. Komi was deemed by her to be cold-blooded. Yet, as the race went on and she observed Komi giving it her all, she gave her credit.

The second time they ran into one other was in Manga Chapter 212, in a different race.

Odoka Shizuka

Odoka Shizuka
Odoka Shizuka

Characters that are fascinated with horror films and other things are common in anime and manga. Well! You can find fans of horror films in real life as well.

A character of a similar kind is Odoka Shizuka. She delights in terrifying people and haunted dwellings. Her appearance is straight out of a horror movie.

She made her debut during the cultural festival, where she was tasked with frightening people. But when it was Komi’s turn, she began to doubt whether or not to frighten her. In the interim, Komi overcame her. Chapter 70 of a manga

Omoharu Nakanaka

Omoharu Nakanaka
Omoharu Nakanaka

This character is now distinctive. Chuunibyous does not frequently appear in rom-coms. Well! You’ve just seen one, LOL! Omoharu lives in her own tiny universe, just like other Chuunibyou characters. She refers to herself in her own universe as Arsot Les Primavera and Komi Shouko, Princess Komilia. Comic Book Chapter 31

She has a good following in the class despite her appearance. Also close to Komi Shouko is Omaharu. When Omoharu was having trouble finding a partner during PE, the two of them grew close. Moreover, Omoharu refers to their alliance as a “Blood Oath.”

Komi Shousuke

Komi Shousuke
Komi Shousuke

The sibling of Komi Shouko is Komi Shousuke. Unlike his sister, Shousuke prefers to keep to himself most of the time yet is a skilled communicator.

Shousuke, however, enjoys considerable popularity with both girls and boys, much like his sister. Another distinction between the brothers is that whereas Shousuke prefers to be alone himself, Shouko wants to make friends.

He is also quite competent. He has talent for a variety of things, including violin making and model maintenance.

Sonada Taisei

Sonada Taisei
Sonada Taisei

Sonada Taisei is a classmate of Komi and one of the main characters of Komi Can’t Communicate. Taisei is a confident and outgoing boy who is always looking out for Komi and his friends. He is an excellent listener and is always willing to lend an ear to his friends. Taisei is also an excellent cook, and he loves to show off his culinary skills.

Yet another supporting actor on our list. Sonada is a close buddy of Chiarai and Shinobino. In Manga Chapters 75 and 77, the three of them may be seen discussing girls.

Sukida Lily

Sukida Lily
Sukida Lily

Sukida Lily is a classmate of Komi and one of the main characters of Komi Can’t Communicate. Lily is a bright and cheerful girl who is always looking out for Komi and his friends. She is kind and understanding, and she is always willing to help her friends in any way she can. Lily is an excellent listener and is always willing to lend an ear to her friends.

Sukida is the sort of person who is always in the background, transporting people.

Even when Tadano Hitohito was transvestite, she mistaken him for a girl and intended to sail him off with Komi Shouko. Chapter 232 of a manga. Even Gyaru Manbagi and Komi Shouko are her favourites.

Suteno Gorou

Suteno Gorou
Suteno Gorou

Gangsters! They’re in every school, right? Wait! Yours lacked them, did it? Lmaoo! Well! Suteno Gorou, along with four other kids, is the worst misbehaviour of the school’s first year in this comic. The Heavenly Kings are the name given to them.

During a month, they managed to defeat 172 students in first grade. They now desired to reign the following year. When they arrived at the second-year classroom, they encountered Katai Makoto and thought he was Komi ( Komi was rumoured to be strong ). Well! Being fairly powerful, Katai didn’t even feel their blows. The kings then made the decision to go. 146–148 in the manga

Tadano Hitohito

Tadano Hitohito
Tadano Hitohito

The story’s male protagonist is Tadano Hitohito. Moreover, Komi Shouko makes him her first friend. In the manga’s opening chapter, Hitohito is portrayed as a coward who prefers to live a quiet existence away from the prying eyes of others. He saw Komi’s infirmity, though, and made the decision to assist her, shattering his ideal. Anime Volume 1

Despite having little natural aptitude, Hitohito has a remarkable ability to understand people and situations, which is very helpful. He is also very skilled at selecting presents.

Tadano Hitomi

Tadano Hitomi
Tadano Hitomi

Our MC Tadano Hitohito’s younger sister is Tadano Hitomi. Like Hitohito, Hitomi is incredibly adept at reading social situations. But, she uses it in a very poor manner. Hitomi seeks to live her life to the fullest, unlike Hitohito who is very concerned with what other people think of him. She has a lot of popularity among her peers because of her upbeat and vivacious personality.

She is not very adept at reading people’s minds, unlike her brother, as she believes Shousuke’s communication issue is the cause of their lack of communication. Shousuke merely avoids her in reality, LMAO!

Takarazuka Maya

Takarazuka Maya
Takarazuka Maya

Maya Takarazuka is a female supporting character. Yess! a female protagonist. She is a girl, even though she was cast in the role of a prince.

Takarazuka Maya was the actress who portrayed the princess. Takarazuka is a very collected person. Throughout her practise sessions with Komi, she exhibited exceptional tolerance.

Even the play was slightly altered by her to fit Komi. Manga Chapter 221

Teshigawara Hoshiko

Teshigawara Hoshiko
Teshigawara Hoshiko

Another minor character who only appeared in two chapters was Teshigawara Hoshiko. She only appears for the humour.

Teshigawara is a girl who frequently needs handkerchiefs due to her profuse sweating.

When Komi Shouko was giving out tissues to people in Manga Chapter 43, she first appeared. Komi, who excels at interpreting nonverbal cues, recognised Hoshiko’s need for a tissue right away.

She subsequently made an appearance in Manga Chapter 174, where she was joined by Omoharu Nakanaka, who was attempting to shoot her with an umbrella.

Toutoi Son

Toutoi Son
Toutoi Son

He is an excellent listener and is always willing to lend an ear to his friends. Son is also an excellent cook, and he loves to show off his culinary skills.

Final Thoughts

This is a long list of characters from Komi Can’t Communicate series. This data is exclusively from the manga. As each summary is about a particular character, including references for all the events was not feasible. Nonetheless, I can guarantee that this information is accurate. The manga is being adapted into an anime this season, so make sure to check it out. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
