On Tuesday it was declared by Toei that in August 2021 its omnibus movie series Toei Manga Matsuri is going to have another installment and again it is going to include a new anime movie, the third one, for the franchise Butt Detective.
The 2019 installment of the omnibus movie series was the primary one in the 29 years and in april 2019 it was released in Japan. For this year the series came back and it was originally planned that the series would release on April 24 but got postponed due to the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Finally it was released on August 24 and both of the installments in 2019 and 2020 had a movie for the Butt Detective.
From 1969 to 1990 the movie series Toei Manga Matsuri was screened by Toei during the long break periods such as the summer or winter break to promote its properties to children. The movies not only featured anime but also live action properties and other genres. The omnibus movies have screened anime shorts like Mazinger Z Vs. Devilman as well as shorts for Dr. Slump, Kinnikuman, and Captain Tsubasa. The movie series has also screened Captain Harlock: Mystery of the Arcadia, the primary movie Dragon Ball, and also screened Disney movies such as 101 Dalmatians and Snow White.
