Funimation has recently sent an ambiguous message via twitter, hinting about arrival of something surprising on their platform and now they have officially confirmed that anime adaption of Hunter x Hunter that aired in 2011 will be available on the streaming site in the territories of United Kingdom and Ireland.
From 2011 till 2014, the anime Hunter x Hunter was simulated on Crunchyroll and was also added on Netflix for a short period. Funimation will not only stream the subbed version of the anime series but it will also be streaming the English dubbed version of Hunter x Hunter that was aired on Toonami by Bang Zoom! Entertainment and Viz Media. Funimation will start streaming the series from 17th July, 2020.
The 2011 adaptation of anime series Hunter x hunter is based on the manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi. It was produced by studio Madhouse. However the first anime adaptation was released in 1999 which was animated by studio Nippon Animation. The anime series released in 2011 is directed by Hiroshi Kōjina, whereas Yoshihisa Hirano composed the music. The 2011 adaptation is different from the previous series as it shows two more arcs in addition to the previous arcs, called Election arc and Chimera Ant arc

Hunter x Hunter follows the story of Young Gon who wants to become a Hunter like his father who was a legendary adventurer with great skills. But inorder to reach that level, he first needs to pass the Hunter Qualification Exam, which is not just extremely tough but dangerous as well.
