GKIDS Acquires Distribution Rights For Animated Feature INU-OH In North American

GKIDS along with Science SARU INC and it its partner Asmik Ace, Inc. has recently claimed to have acquired the rights for the distribution of the animated feature INU-OH in North America. INU-OH is the new feature, directed by a well-known director, Masaaki Yuasa

This musical animated feature has been presented as under production at 2020 Annecy Film Festival. It revolves around the relation of legendary 14th century Noh performer Inu-Oh and a blind Biwa player Tomona. They pave their way up to stardum while overcoming obstacles together through their creative mindset and in this process, they may also end the other’s curse.

The character designing has been handled by the manga artist Taiyo Matsumoto who has worked on the anime adaptation of Matsumoto’s series Ping Pong the Animation alongside Yuasa. INU-OH is the 5th title by director Masaaki Yuasa that has been acquired by GKIDS. It will be release in theatres in 2021 by GKIDS.
