The Japanese manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is penned and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge. The story revolves around Tanjirō Kamado, a little fellow who turns into an evil presence slayer after his whole family was butchered by a devil, aside from his younger sibling Nezuko, who was transformed into an evil presence also, he swears to figure out how to make her human once more. Since February 2016 the manga was consecutive in Weekly Shōnen Jump and till October 2019 the manga had its chapters assembled in 17 tankōbon volumes. In English the manga series is issued by Viz Media and in English Shueisha simulissued it, and in Spanish it was issued in their Manga Plus platform.
From April 6 to September 29, 2019 the anime series version was broadcast by Ufotable. As soon as the episode 26 was broadcast of the anime series a follow up movie was declared that will release in 2020.
At the 2019 Newtype Anime Awards the anime series was honored with many different awards comprising best TV anime award. Till December 2019 the manga had 25 million copies in print form.

Plot
In Taishō-period Japan, Tanjirō Kamado is a sympathetic and insightful kid who lives with his family. He has become his family’s sole wellspring of salary after the death of his dad. Everything changes when his family is assaulted and butchered by an evil spirit. Tanjirō and his sister Nezuko are the sole overcomers of the occurrence, with Nezuko being changed into an evil presence, yet at the same time shockingly giving indications of human feeling and thought. After an experience with Giyu Tomioka, an evil presence slayer, Tanjirō is enrolled by Giyu to likewise turn into a devil slayer to enable his sister to turn human again and retaliate for the passing’s of the remainder of his family.

Koyoharu Gotōge penned and drew the manga version. On February 15, 2016 the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was commenced in the 11th issue of Shueisha‘s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump. On July 20 a side story of the manga was issued in the primary issue of the Shonen Jump GIGA. In January 2019 the series was set out concurrently in English by Shueisha on the Manga Plus service.
The primary three chapters of the series were issued by Viz Media in its digital form magazine Weekly Shonen Jump as part of the Jump Start program in on July 20 between its panel at San Diego Comic-Con. It was declared by Viz media that for the market segment of North America the manga has been certified by them.
Spin-offs
In 2019 in the 18th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump the two chapter of manga follow up called Kimetsu no Yaiba: Tomioka Giyū Gaiden was issued. The original work is done by Gotōge and the manga is being illustrated by Hirano. The manga revolves around the character Giyū Tomioka.
In between April 7 and September 29, 2019 a colored 4-koma follow up named Kimetsu no Aima! by Hirano was consecutive on the Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app and website. The manga includes the chibi adaptation of the characters from the core series.
Light Novels
On February 4, 2019 Gotōge and Aya Yajima’s light novel series named Demon Slayer: Flower of Happiness was issued in Japan. It narrates the lives of Tanjirō and Zenitsu before the beginning of the main series also showed the lives of Aoi and Kanao. It also includes a single chapter of an exchanging universe where the characters of the main series are enrolled in a normal high school.
On October 4, 2019 Gotōge and Yajima’s subsequent novel series named Demon Slayer: One-Winged Butterfly was issued in Japan. It shows the lives of Shinobu and Kanae Kocho before and almost immediately they became the part of Demon Slayers when Himejima Gyomei rescues their lives.
Anime
On June 4, 2018 an anime version series by studio Ufotable was declared in the 27th issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump. From April 6 to September 28, 2019 the series was broadcast on Tokyo MX, GTV, GYT, BS11, and on other various channels. The anime is penned by Haruo Sotozaki, along with the scripts by the Ufotable team. The composers of anime are Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina and the designer of characters is Akira Matsushima. The producer is Hikaru Kondo. The starting song called Gurenge was presented by LiSA and the concluding song called from the edge was presented by FictionJunction feat. LiSA. The concluding song for episode 19 is called Kamado Tanjirō no Uta presented by Go Shiina featuring Nami Nakagawa. The series consisted of 26 episodes. The series was certified by Aniplex of America. it has been telecast on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and FunimationNow. In Australia and New Zealand the series was simulcasted by AnimeLab.
From March 29 before the broadcast, the primary five episodes was scrennd in cinemas in Japan for two weeks named Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kyōdai no Kizuna. On March 31, 2019 the movie was screened at the Aratani Cinema in Los Angeles by Aniplex of America. On April 2, 2019 the movie was screened in some cinemas in Australia by Madman Entertainment.
In July 2019 it was declared that the English dubbed version will be started on Adult Swim’s Toonami block. On October 13, 2019 it was started at sharp 1:30 am.
On September 28, 2019 right after the broadcast of episode 26 an anime movie named Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train was declared along with the cast and crew members coming back for their respected roles. The movie is a follow up of the primary season based on the manga series story arc Infinite Train and in 2020 it will be debuted in Japan.

Manga
Till February 2019 the series contained 3.5 million copies in print form globally, and till September 2019 it had over 10 million copies, till November 2019 it had over 20 million copies globally, and till December 2019 it had over 25 million copies. In 2019 the manga was one of the top selling. In November 2019 it was declared by Shueisha that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was their second best selling manga from November 2018 to November 2019 along with 10.8 million volumes vended, and at the first place was One Piece by Eiichiro Oda with 12.7 million volumes vended at the same time. However the series got the 1st position in the Oricon’s annual comic ranking char along with 12 million copies vended, while One Piece got the second position with over 10.1 million copies vended at the same time interval from November 2018 to November 2019. Oda penned a message related to Gotōge’s manga fame.
In 2017 the series got the 14th position on a list of manga suggested by the Japanese bookstore workers, and got the 19th position on the list of best manga of 2018 for male readers arranged by Kono Manga ga Sugoi! In 2019 the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba got the 10th position on the 19th “Book of the Year” list by Da Vinci magazine. The series got the 19th position on the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! list of best manga of 2019 for male readers.
Light Novels
In 2019, Demon Slayer: Flower of Happines had around 210,966 duplicates sold and Demon Slayer: One-Winged Butterfly had around 196,674 duplicates sold. The two books positioned third and fourth individually in Oricon’s general bunko positioning diagram. Devil Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba in general novelization was the tenth smash hit light novel in 2019, with 407,640 duplicates sold.
Anime
The anime was awarded in 2019 at the Newtype Anime Awards in the category of best TV anime, best male character to Tanjirō Kamado, best female character to Nezuko Kamado, best theme song, best director, best designer of characters, best voice actor to Natsuki Hanae, and best voice actress.
Composing for Monsters and Critics, Patrick Frye composed that the anime adjustment is “adulated [for] the liveliness quality and streaming fight scenes that incorporate advanced impacts consistently” while taking note of that “a few fans have griped about unusual story pacing issues on account of flashbacks and some moderate minutes, yet everybody concurs that once the activity gets, it’s astounding.” Writing for Anime News Network, James Beckett featured Episode 19 by taking note of it was “an exciting work of art of a scene, flaunting ufotable’s extensive abilities as makers of almost unmatched activity exhibition.”
The anime arrangement has been viewed as outstanding amongst other anime of the 2010s. Polygon staff did it and author Austen Goslin composed that “Couple of shows in the course of the most recent 10 years have so plainly or shamelessly made battles their center, and completely none of them have done it just as Demon Slayer”. Crunchyroll recorded it in their “Main 25 best anime of the 2010s”, with commentator Daniel Dockery remarking, “From the first rate activity movement, to the downplayed passionate minutes, to the unendingly image capable Inosuke, Demon Slayer can be a miracle to behold. Writing for Comic Book Resources, Sage Ashford positioned it second on his rundown, applauding its liveliness and heroes, whom he called “the most amiable male and female leads of the decade”
