A Date Turned Battle: Shido and Tohka’s Unforgettable Day

Shido and Tohka, two friends, discover that school has been canceled due to the AST’s assaults. They explore the town and encounter a bakery where Tohka tries to determine the meaning of a date. Shido tries to clarify, but the Spirit roams the city, causing Tohka to question her intentions. Tohka reveals that she left after a fight with Origami and that she disappeared to another world, falling asleep and waking up by force.

With vouchers from a chance encounter with Tonomachi, Shido affords to take Tohka to an expensive restaurant where they are treated to an all-expenses-paid promo. Meanwhile, Origami, who has been stalking them, has already sorted out deployment orders for the AST. Tohka continues to sate her stomach, but Shido assures her that he is having fun with her.

Tohka and Shido win the grand prize in a raffle booth, a trip to “Dream Park.” Shido questions the true meaning of a date but asks Tohka to leave with him elsewhere, as the park resembles a love hotel. Origami prepares to pursue the two, and the Ratatoskr members return to the Fraxinus to assess the situation. Kotori calls the mission a success, but they discover that it is raining when there are no clouds nearby, which Kotori considers an advantage.

Tohka and Shido, a couple, head for cover in a gaming center due to rain. They encounter a plush toy machine, but Tohka is unable to get it. They rest at a playground and discuss their enjoyable time together. Shido explains that a date is when a boy and girl go out together and have fun. The AST watches as Tohka manifests without a Spacequake and permission to use sniping weapons is granted.

However, a threat approaches quickly, and Origami takes the shot at Tohka, obliterating the plush bread and Shido’s torso. Tohka accepts the world’s decision to reject her and summons her Astral Dress Adonai Melek and Angel Sandalphon to unleash her ultimate weapon, the Halvanhelev.

Ratatoskr faces a similar crisis with a rampaging Spirit, causing a space-time quake alert and many casualties. Kotori assures everyone that Shido is safe, and a burning flame envelopes his wound. Kotori pushes through the plan to retrieve Shido and calm the raging Princess.

The Final Clash: Love, Despair, and Redemption

Tohka is overjoyed to see Shido alive, but she tells Shido that her Final Sword is reaching its critical limit. She kisses Shido, dissolving her Spirit form, leaving her naked. Tohka asks if Shido would take her again for a date, and he responds with a warm smile.
