Excitement heightens as the full anime series gears up for its debut on January 10, broadcasted through TV Tokyo and BS TV Tokyo. The storyline unfolds around Kiyoshi Adachi, a 30-year-old office worker played by the talented Chiaki Kobayashi, and his office crush, the dashingly elite Yūichi Kurosawa, brought to life by Ryōta Suzuki.

Makoto Furukawa, Gen Sato, Yusuke Shirai, and Ami Koshimizu round out the cast, taking on the roles of Masato Tsuge, Minato Wataya, Yuta Rokkaku, and Nozomi Fujisaki respectively.

The anime is helmed by director Yoshiko Okuda, known for her work on Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits-, while it’s produced by Satelight. Character design is the brainchild of Takahiro Kishida, whose credits include Durarara!!, Haikyu!!, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Tomoko Konparu, with past projects like Uta no Prince-sama and Nodame Cantabile under her belt, is supervising the script. Adding to the ambiance, Tomoki Hasegawa serves as the maestro behind the show’s music.

The opening theme, “Hajimete wa Zenbu-kun ga Ii,” is voiced by Koe ni Naranai yo, while the lead actors, Chiaki Kobayashi and Ryōta Suzuki, team up to deliver the ending theme, “Magical Love.”

Square Enix Manga & Books offers the manga internationally and summarizes the plot as follows:

Upon reaching the age of thirty without any romantic entanglements, Adachi inadvertently unlocks the ability to read people’s thoughts through physical contact. A chance encounter with his stunning coworker leads to an unexpected revelation: Adachi finds himself head-over-heels for none other than Kurosawa, much to his own astonishment.

Since its dawn on pixiv’s Gangan pixiv service in 2018, the manga has captivated hearts and spawned a variety of adaptations. It spurred a Japanese live-action television series that made its debut on TV Tokyo in October 2020, followed by a global release on Crunchyroll in December 2020.

The TV series further inspired a two-episode online spinoff on Tsutaya Premium in the same month and a live-action film sequel that graced Japanese theatres in April 2022. Additionally, the series has crossed borders, inspiring a live-action Thai rendition.
