After wasting a lot of time in the first 8 episodes, we can finally see something relevant to the plot which is probably about Melida being despised by all other nobles. Although I still don’t get the reason of that hatred. What is her fault that made everyone hate her? The big deal almost skipped out of my mind. I do seem to understand that significant thing related Angus Household and Felgus but what makes the other families care about that.
This bug deal was entirely forgotten in the series uptil now and we still do not have any clue about why everyone is against Melida. I must say that every important thing is ignored in this show which makes us care less about it. This series is a disaster when comes to the details of some important things. But, I’m still hopeful to watch Melida getting relieve from such pressure. There is no indication of Melida being a threat to them and in my opinion they are always just gossiping about her relation with Felgus. The brother of Salacha seems like an important person when he attends a meeting with few people. Mule talks about the reading outcome of her mana and it is revealed to all of them that Melida does not possess the Paladin mana that every Angel members have and that makes everyone furious. Mule gives an idea on how to make Melida leave and Salacha’s brother likes the idea. While Salacha does not seem to agree with it
I can’t recall when exactly did she started caring for Melida. The sleepover episode is avoidable as it was not the part of the ongoing story. There is not a single scene where we had seen them getting acquainted, talking with each other or getting along. So it’s confusing to see her being worried about her. I’m not also sure about Mule’s relationship with Melida. They seemed to be good friends in the sleepover episode but as mentioned before it’s not the part of the main story except for one time where she shows up in front of Melida and it was very brief. She doesn’t look like a kind person but the ending scene makes it look like they are connected somehow. But, this makes me think how? What exactly is the relationship between them? I don’t understand. But, they are important characters as we can see them in opening and ending them and there is nothing more to it.
Everytime something about the world of this anime is shown, it makes me excited because it’s very unique and interesting. The girls get to know about Vibria Goat Librarian License Exam. Beneath the center of the Flandore, there exist a library which contains huge amount of books with various kind of written material related to the world they live in. There are certain levels and it’s also spooky as the ghost of diseased librarians keeps lurking there. It’s not an easy job, infact it can be life threatening as the librarians have to go beyond their limits to dig deep and discover certain information while facing some monsters. Then we get the visuals of library which is very beautiful. There is still lot to know about their world such as the fact that they live in lanterns and the darkness of the world outside. This is the most interesting thing in the anime but they don’t really pit much light to it and it is very disappointing. I thought that this library would be an opportunity to learn more about that but, it actually is another way to put pressure on Melida.
So they start acting upon their plan. A strange man with a mask says that he is the father of Melida in front of everyone in the school. Melida and Ellie are now dragged to a certain level of the library which seems dangerous. Felgus receives a threatening letter about Melida. In the end Mule and Salacha appears in front of girls and but it seems something bad is going to happen. Felgus plans to get Melida out of the school. She truly is the target of everyone. Poor Melida, she can’t get out of this. It is part of the story but now I’m starting to get annoyed.
In more than half of the episodes until now, nothing important or related to the main plot was shown. But they are now focusing on the main story which is about dangerous things that Melida and relationship with Kufa is prone to. Sad that we have already reached towards the end of the series as it has disappointed in the previous episodes before getting to the main plot of Assassin’s Pride.
