An anime based on manga named Arte written by Kei Okubo, will be airing in April 2020. The anime has revealed a new visual along with new characters and voice actors to be cast in the series for the 16th-century story related to painting. The latest image shows nominal characters Arte and her painting instructor Leo. Other characters include Angelo voiced by Junya Enoki, Veronica, voiced by Sayaka Ohara, Yuri oiced by Kosuke Toriumi and Catarina voiced by MAO. It has also been revealed that Takayuki Hamana (Library Wars) will be the director of the show and Reiko Yoshida (Violet Evergarden) is the lead designer of the series. Seven Arcs will be producing the series.
Set in 16th Century The anime tells the story of the daughter of the noble aristocrat, Arte who has been taking interest in art and sculptures for as long as she can remember. She wish to be an artist, but it was the period when it is not considered appropriate for women to work as an artist. This leads Arte to taek a big step in her life.
