The previous chapter ended when Shiro was at the verge of death but chapter 118 of Ao no Exorcist started with him coming to realize how important it is for him to live. He makes a move and use his ability to kill yeti which was a great to moment to watch. Afterwards, Shiro carries the babies and walks away. Although he knows the source of their existence, he believes that there is no harm in living for now as everyone has to die one day. For now, the story of Shiro has ended and we are taken to the other exorcists who are having a tough time too.
Satan is roaming around regenerating his body while hurting and killing others in his way. On top of it, the exorcist children are in his way and if they are moved from there then nothing can stop them from dying. Samael shows up infront of his ‘big brother’ and they have a little chat so that Naphilim get some time to arrive. This old fellow is has the ability to manipulate Satan and make him wish for death and rest in peace. Jeopardizing her life, Nephilim can finish Satan and bringing peace after the terrifying night of death.
In the last panel we see Shiro again heading in the direction of a place where sun rises, carrying two babies who we know as the savior of the world in the future. Chapter 118 of Ao no Exorcist ended on a dramatic note and complete the flashback arc. But we are still yet to know why this backstory was perceived by young Rin. Till the time next chapter releases, let us dig a deeper into this week’s chapter.
It was not easy for Shiro to continue living and death was an easy part but in this chapter, he realized that the children needs him and he need to live for them. The entire series would be different if he had decided to die in the hands of snow yeti.
The rebuilding of Satan was chaotic due to the demise of the one he loved. Fortunately, Mephisto and Nephhilim. However, the story of Blue Night doesn’t seem to have finished as the present indicates.
Chapter 118 of Ao no Exorcist was amazing and enjoyable as we witnessed the power of need to lice for others and the chaos caused by sorrow. Satan was taken down as seen in the flashback but in the current chapters Satan seems more dangerous than before. Our questions will be answered in the next chapter.
