On Wednesday it was declared by the authorized Twitter account of the horror manga Uzumaki by Junji Ito that the main character of anime Kirie Goshima is being voiced by Uki Satake. A video message from Uki Satake has been started to be telecast by the account.

This year the miniseries consisting four episodes is going to debut on Toonami and after that it will debut in Japan. The miniseries is being directed at Production I.G by Hiroshi Nagahama and the music is being composed by Colin Stetson.
The 1998-1999 manga revolves on the occupants of a town where peculiar events identified with a winding shape started happening in a steady progression. From 2007 to 2008 the manga was originally set out in three collected volumes by Viz Media and after that an compilation edition was set out.
In 2000 a live action horror movie starring Eriko Hatsune and Fan Fhi was made based on the manga.
