Anime Tamago 2019 Shorts to make TV Debut on 24 June

Anime Tamago 2019’s shorts will be televised by Yomiuri TV. This was revealed by the channel on Tuesday. Yomiuri TV will also telecast “Captain Bal” by Flying Ship Studio on 8 July, “Chuck Shimezō” by Nippon Animation on 1 July, “Tatakae! Space Attendant Aoi” by Keica and Griot Groove on 1 July and “Hello WeGo!” by Wit Studio on 24 June.

In Tokyo, Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas will screen the shorts on 9 March.

As part of the “Young Animator Training Project” by the Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan, young animators were provided on the job training for anime shorts. Previously, the name of this project was “anime Mirai”.

In 2010, the “Young Animator Training Project” was launched for the purpose dealing with the increased outsourcing of Japanese animation work abroad and to encourage the growth of Japanese Animation studios. Some great works were made as a result of the project, like Ongaku Shōjo, Little Witch Academia and Death Billiards. Television anime Death Parade was inspired by Death Billiards.
