Mangaka Naoki Urasawa-sensei has commendable talent. He has produced some praise worthy manga like Monster and 20th Century Boys!. Exploring the most bizarre aspect about humans is his specialty. He brilliantly blends the unrealistic story with the realistic one. The most fascinating thing about Urasawa- sensei’s work is that he intertwines two stories which is not easy to do.

Talking about Sneeze: Naoki Urasawa Story Collection, it is the collection of various short stories written by this great mangaka. Like the other stories of the same mangaka, the stories are the blend of reality and fantasy. It includes some common fantasy elements like psychic power and monsters as well as some thrilling tropes like aliens entering the human world. The author has also included some real life’s experiences from the past regarding international music.

Like many other acclaimed writers, Urasawa-sensei’s stories are recognizable as his work. For example like Tim Burton’s creepy with skeptical element in his work. It’s hard to describe that recognition in words. Urasawa-sensei has some unique elements that makes it his signature in his work. He has certain uniqueness that makes it different from other authors. That particular element can be found in each of his stories.

When we say Urasawa-sensei is very talented, it’s not restricted to his work as an author but he is an amazing artist who knows how to express his stories through visuals. Facial expressions are the best when it comes to his artwork. The facial expressions of his characters are exceptionally hilarious. From absurdity to the realistic expressions, they are just flawless. You can’t help but smile or or laugh while reading them.

As mentioned earlier that Urusawa-sensei has his own uniqueness in his work that makes it his signature, it can be unrecognizable for some. For those who have been reading his books and are familiar with them can understand that but if someone who picks up his book for the first time may not be able to grasp it.

Sneeze: Naoki Urasawa Story Collection is the compilation of various stories which means there are different plots with difference in quality of the stories. His signature is evident in all of them but quality differs from one story to others. You may find some of them highly engaging and captivating but some might not intrigue you that well. In our opinion Kaiju Kingdom is the best.
