Yotsuba is comforted by Itsuki by displaying Fuutarou’s writings praising her. Itsuki is the first person to learn of Yotsuba’s relationship with Fuutarou, and she is requested to pose as Yotsuba from five years earlier.
Yotsuba disputes Itsuki’s assertion that he deserves a chance to be with Fuutarou because he feels undeserving of it and wants to share his “specialness” with more people.
Fuutarou Uesugi:
Itsuki and Fuutarou got into a fight, and she rejected him as the girls’ instructor right afterward. She reluctantly urged him to try again after supper with the Uesugi family, but she took him home after his catastrophic first encounter with the sisters. She first refused to see them as anything more than strangers, partially because of their shared feelings for Fuutarou.
Itsuki started to observe the difference between her and the sisters as a result of Fuutarou’s persistent efforts. She wants to apologize to Fuutarou after several disputes, but she feels uncomfortable doing so.
