Koko’s personality:
Koko considers the universe to be a collection of calculations. This was due to a horrific incident he went through when he was younger when he failed to save Akane Inui from a house fire, which resulted in many third-degree burns and put her in serious condition.
This incident served as both the catalyst for Koko’s decision to spend his boyhood as the leader of an organized gang of thieves working to unlawfully raise funds for Akane’s expensive treatment regimen and the beginning of his propensity for monetary gain. Koko’s past shows that this passion was born out of hopelessness even though it initially appeared to be materialistic.
Credible gangs are interested in Koko because of his financial resources and want to take advantage of him. He was seen as a pawn as a result, and his preoccupation with money grew.
Koko wasn’t able to face the facts after hearing of Akane’s death and deal with the tragedy because he had failed to generate enough income to keep her alive, selflessly taking the blame.
Being completely lost, he quickly became close to Akane’s little brother Inupi as a stand-in for her absence and as a way to stop himself from disintegrating inwardly. Koko eventually learns to separate from Inupi and carry on a life of crime by himself, which demonstrates his protectiveness for him, whom he sees as a living reminder of Akane’s existence.
Koko’s skills and abilities:
Koko has unmatched financial skills, which helps to explain his legendary reputation for making enormous sums of money. Following the fire that destroyed the Inui family’s home, Koko examined books about various ways to get money and discovered successful strategies that a young person like him could utilize.
Because of this, he could start theft-related criminal schemes for wealthy clients. He would then periodically invest money in expanding his syndicate to carry out scams on a bigger scale. With this strategy, he would ultimately make more money.
His financial prowess is acknowledged as a highly sought-after asset by organizations, making him a significant character in several alternate present timelines where he has a top executive position in the more well-organized and dangerous gang organizations. Koko is regarded as a crucial component for the development of a corporation and is typically in charge of finances.
Koko frequently served as the gang’s treasurer, making him a part of the senior leadership. Though his current area of authority is finance, he previously held the role of Elite Guard Captain in the 10th Generation Black Dragon.
In addition to his financial prowess, Koko is demonstrated to be a skilled fighter with the ability to compete with Inupi.
Koko’s history:
When Koko was younger, he had a deep crush on Akane, Inui’s sister, even though she was five years his senior. He once attempted to kiss Akane while she was dozing off in the library, but she snatched him up. Akane accepted his offer to wait for them until they were older after he admitted it.
But then tragedy happened. One night, a sizable fire started at the Inui residence. Regardless of everything, Koko bravely charged inside the house to save Seishu, who he initially believed to be Akane. Akane was severely burned by the fire and went into a coma as a result. Even Akane’s parents couldn’t afford the 40 million yen treatment would cost.
Koko, therefore, made every effort to gain knowledge of finance to raise funds to save Akane. He concluded that turning to crime was the fastest route; therefore he enlisted criminals to carry out his orders. Everything was in vain because Akane eventually passed away from her wounds. After that, Coco developed an even greater obsession with money to make up for the gap left by Akane’s passing.
Relationships of Koko:
A brief discussion of Koko’s relationships is as follows:
Seishu Inui:
Seishu and Kokonoi are close friends. Koko had feelings for Akane, Seishu’s older sister. Koko saved Seishu by pretending to be Akane when the Inuis’ building caught fire. Koko remained by Seishu’s side after Akane’s passing. Taiju Shiba was enlisted by them both to revive the Black Dragons. After Taiju Shiba was defeated by the Tokyo Manji Gang, the two gangs merged when they both joined Hanagaki’s 1st Division. They were afterward taken prisoner by Mucho. Koko consented to join Tenjiku to save Seishu and Hanagaki.
Akane Inui:
Koko used to play with Seishu and Akane, Seishu’s older sister by five years. Koko thought Akane was lovely and compared Seishu’s characteristics to hers. She woke up when he tried to kiss her as she was dozing off in the library. She advised him to only kiss those he finds attractive. Later, Koko told her about his feelings. He was told by Akane that she would hold off till they were adults.
Koko rushed inside the burning Inuis’ residence to save her. But because of their similarity, he chose to save Seishu and abandon Akane. Akane was in a coma and had terrible burns all over her body when she arrived at the hospital. Seishu told Koko that his family didn’t have enough money to cover the cost of Akane’s medical care. Koko rose to the position of boss of a small gang of criminals to make money and save Akane.
Sadly, she passed away before he could amass enough cash to cover Akane’s medical bills. Koko kept trying to make money even though he was unable to accomplish his goal since he was well-known in the criminal community for his ability to do so.
Taiju Shiba:
Taiju Shiba originally arrived in Kokonoi because of his resources. He was presented to Seishu by Koko as a prospective leader of the Black Dragon’s tenth generation. He led Seishu and Koko into becoming commanders. Koko confessed that he would willingly betray him for money and that he valued power over loyalty. As a result, Kokonoi withdrew after Taiju Shiba’s defeat by the Tokyo Manji Gang since Taiju had lost his influence and usefulness.
