We still have the memories of being teased by our friends when our crush was around. Things like these have become one of the best memories of the school.

A summer fling is a word that is mostly used as Summer is what reminds those days when we had developed those feelings. It’s is the time of so many festivities. A Story of an Unlikely Love is the story about blooming love between high school students.

It’s always refreshing to see sweet love stories between young people. As the name suggests A Story of an Unlikely Love follows the love story between a trouble student Risa Kisaragi and a righteous and well-behaved student Hiyoshi Chihiro. Although the story is short it is filled with beautiful romantic moments that remind us of our old times.

A Story of an Unlikely Love stands out from much other mangas because of it’s no of chapters. It consists of only 8 chapters and it is almost unbelievable to enjoy a romantic story in such a few chapters but surprisingly, A Story of an Unlikely Love will keep you hooked till the end and leave you satisfied. But yes you would wish I never ended.

Mizuki-sensei has done a great job of making every chapter filled with romantic moments that are enjoyable. Concluding such a sweet love story and not missing out on anything within only 8 chapters is worth admiring.

A Story of an Unlikely Love has all the ingredients are needed to make a love story worth reading. It has the right amount of sweetness, spiciness, and romantic moments. One can finish the entire manga in one go as there is no way a reader would get bored at any point. The romantic scenes are not cheesy absurd. Everything is balanced and yet exciting enough to make us turn the pages until we finish it.

The other exciting thing about this story is that it shows summer time which is the best time to spark romantic feelings with the beaches, festivities, and fireworks. The manga does not just focus on their romantic moments but also features some exciting and fun moments that they both do together like collecting trash on the beach, which may not sound appealing but every scene of them together is enticing.

Some shojo fans might not like the female protagonist who is shown to be very kind and too good to be true. There is nothing she would ever refuse to. Saying no to someone is not a bad thing but out heroine is just too good to say that anyone. She would help anyone for anything due to which she can also end up being used by those who take advantage of others.

A Short But Sweet Tale of Love is quite relatable with all those fun and sweet high school moments with romantic feelings. It’s the best manga to read during summer as it shows all the fun one can have during summer while having romantic feelings for someone.
