In volume 6 of the manga series Snow White with the Red Hair, Shirayuki was abducted by some terrifying pirates and by thanks o Zen ad Raj, she’s save now and has returned to Clarines. Volume 7 has been released and we will be discussing what occurred in the latest volume of Snow White with the Red Hair.
Once our heroine is saved from the abduction of pirates, Shirayuki and others once again visit Kazuki’s home, a place headed by the Lions of Mountains, where Shirayuki comes across her separated father Mukaze who hasn’t met her since she was taken in by her grandparents as a kid. While relaxing there for a short period, Shirayuki was able to revive her relationship. She comes to know that all this Kazuki was following her because of her father as he was worried after discovering that she escaped the kingdom of Tanbarun due to some sort of threat.
Now that she is reunited with her father, Kazuki offers Shirayuki to stay with Lions of the Mountains along with her friends and father. But she refused to do so and declares that she has a place to live in Clarines and she needs to return to her home with Zen and others. Shirayuki is glad to meet her father and see that he is doing fine.
After taking some rest for a short while, they all get back to the kingdom of Clarines, where a Palace Exhibition Day is being held by the Palace. Since Zen is busy with his royal duties and Shirayuki reluctantly participated in a play, they couldn’t get time to spend with each other. This makes Shirayuki realize that the social difference between her and Zen. She thinks about the possibility of getting together with him ever.
Unlike Volume 6 of Snow White with the Red Hair which was filed with action, the latest chapter was quite relaxing. Although, it wasn’t plain and many things occurred with the characters but compared to the previous chapter, it felt a little relaxed.
The most significant thing happened with Shirayuki was her encounter with her father, which also reveal a lot about the backstory of the main character. The other thing that was focused on this volume was the realization of huge social difference between Zen and Shirayuki which may not been shown for the first time but this time it was different.
After spending a lot of time together Zena and Shirayuki has come closer to each other and wish to be together for longer. In Tanbarun Shirayuki didn’t get chance to ponders over her relationship with the prince but now that she has returned to the palace, she can’t stop thiking about it.
It’s not normal for a herbalist to have a romantic relationship with a price. Shirayuki and Zen know this and they also know that getting together means that Shirayuki will not be herbalist anymore and would have to take the position of princess. As seen in Volume 3, this relation is unacceptable to Prince Izana, it is going to be very hard for Zen to make way for where their relationship to be acceptable. But so far, Zen could only make her believe that the day will surely come when they could be together without any obstacle and could openly declare their relationship with each other.
Fans might be getting frustrated with the repetitive things happening between Zen and Shirayuki but I’m sure that things will get interesting in the future. Even if nothing much happens around the characters and things are relaxed, we still can see some development in the story and so we are still hopeful as it hasn’t swayed away from the main plot. I hope that we get to see something new and thrilling.
Volume 7 of Snow White with the Red has been entered in West Market by VIZ Media and is translated by Caleb Cook. The translation seems right with no errors. This volume was also interesting because of the backstory of Raj and some in depth details of this character and hoe he came out to be such a prince.
All in all, volume 7 of Snow White with the Red Hair was relaxing with some character development and details about few characters. Many things happened around the protagonist especially the encounter with her father. Hopefully, we will get see more development in the story.
