Fantasy romantic movie “A Whisker Away“ will be featured on Netflix from 18th June 2020. The movie is produced by Studio Colorido (Penguin Highway) and the screenwriter is Mari Okada (Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms). The movie will be available on Netflix all over the world.
The movie follows the story of a strange junior high schooler Miyo “Muge” Sasaki who has crush on a classmate Kento Hinode. That’s her secret that she hasn’t share with anyone and secretly keeps persuading Kento. Muge stumbles upon a mysterious mask that transforms her into a cat, Taro. Thanks to magic mask, she is able to get close to her crush but it can be troublesome when she can’t turn back into her original form.
The movie has been directed by Tomotaka Shibayama and co-directed by Junichi Sato. The movie was first planned to be released on 5th June but due to COVID 19, it was delayed. The Voice Actors include Mirai Shida (Arrietty) who played the role of Miyo and Tarō, and Natsuki Hanae (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) who played the role of Kento.
