On Monday it was declared by the Japanese Broadcast Critics Association that the television anime of manga Eizōken ni wa Te o Dasu na! by Sumito Ōwara was awarded with one of the four Galaxy Awards for March. Since 1963 the Galaxy Awards gives credit to exceptional programs, personalities, and teams because they want to enhance the standard of Japanese broadcast culture. As the anime was awarded with a monthly award it is also going to be a candidate for the association’s yearly Galaxy Awards.
On January 5 the television anime was debuted on NHK General by Masaaki Yuasa and Science SARU and on March 22 it was concluded with 12 episodes. In North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East the series was telecast by Crunchyroll.
In 2016 the manga was commenced in the Shogakukan’s Gekkan! Spirits magazine by Ōwara. In 20018 the series was put forward for the 11th Manga Taisho awards and in 2017 it was awarded with the top Bros. Comic Award. The manga was certified by Dark Horse Comics and on October 6 it is going to set out the primary volume.
A live action movie version based on the manga was originally planned to get release on May 15. The release of the movie is being postponed until further news by TOHO and by the production committee of the live action project because of the spread of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19). As soon as the crew members are going to finalize the new set out date of the movie and when also the associated advance ticket passes is going to be vended, they are going to declare those information on the website of the movie.
On April 5 the tie-in six-episode television small series of the movie is going to be debuted on MBS and on April 7 on TBS. The movie and the series have the similar cast and crew members. Oto Abe and Satoshi Uekiya co-star in the series.
