On Friday it was disclosed by the first 2020 issue of Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine that manga Saki by Ritz Kobayashi will go on a break from the second to the fifth issue. On March 8 the 6th issue of the magazine will dispatch in which the manga will reecoomence.
Earlier the series had 2 month break in which the latest pause was from March to May.
In North America Yen Press is issuing the manga in digital form and it explains the series in following way:
Saki’s never been a major aficionado of mahjong. A lifetime of being compelled to play with family at occasions has left a foul preference for the game in her mouth. Kobayashi launched the manga in the magazine in 2006, and Square Enix published the 19th compiled volume on May 25. The manga has inspired five spinoff manga series.
In 2006 the manga was commenced in the magazine by Kobayashi and on May 25 the 19th volume was issued by Square Enix. Five follow up manga series have been made based by the manga.
In 2009 an anime series version comprising 25 episodes was made of the manga and in 2014 a new anime project named Saki – The Nationals was started. In 2012 an anime series was started based by the follow up manga Saki Achiga-hen episode of side-A. in 2015 an anime DVD was made based by the four panel follow up manga Saki Biyori. In December 2016 a live action TV version of the manga was started and after that in February 2017 a live action movie was started. In December 2017 and January 2018 the new live action TV and film version of the follow up manga Saki Achiga-hen episode of side-A was started correspondingly.
