Higurashi When They Cry Announces a New project

Higurashi When They Cry (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni) has announced a new project. However, there is not much information regarding the project but it seems like it is an anime. A teaser video along with a visual has been released by the newly opened website. Akio Watanabe will be in charge of the character designs for the project.

Higurashi When They Cry originated from a visual novel of a doujin circle 07^th Expansion, led by Ryuskishi07. It is a horror story which tells the mysterious stories of the strange demise and losses in a village of Japan. The novel has already been adapted into two anime series and a few OVAs
