Anime Limited has tweeted this about his home release by Mari Okada from the Maquia (Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana o Kazarō).
“We were informed just now that we have to push our release of Maquia back by a few weeks because we are facing a delay in printing a very special element of the Collector’s Edition set.The new UK version is scheduled for 17 June. Sorry for that. “Really sorry”.
The delay was verified to the standard Blu-ray and DVD version of Maquia, as well as the Collector’s Edition by ANN approached Anime Limited. All three versions were scheduled for publication on 27 May.
Originally planned for releases at home on 28 January, the film had been delayed several times.
In February 2018, the movie opened in Japan. The story is described by Anime Limited:
The people of Iolph live centuries and keep their teenagers alive. But when the unity and the peace of this city is destroyed by all those people who want the secret to their longevity, a young girl named Maquia has to escape.When she wanders through the nation alone, she decides to raise him once she finds an orphaned baby, but when this boy grows up, the difference in her lifetime is made more and more relief.
This movie is the directorial beginning of Okada (Anohana, The Heart Anthem) as screen writer. She also wrote movies scripts at PA Works.
