Kotonoha Kanade
Kotonoha being a mathematics genius is very different from the people of her age. When it comes to mathematics, no one can compete her except for professor. Her EQ level is very high compared to others in Saitama University Science and Research department but she often gets nervous while working with her lively and intellectual co-workers. Her character is very fascinating in its own way and it is also relatable to some degree.
Ena Ibarada
She is the pro at playing video games and so we all can relate to her. Although she is very intelligent but we haven’t seen her much in action when comes to mathematics although she is the member of the science lab. Her relation with Kosuke is very amusing and that proves her high EQ level as she is good at enticing Kosuke since she aware about the degree to which she resembles his favorite anime character. Their relationship is also fun to watch because they have been friends since their childhood days. Ena has also mentioned that her peers are not very emotionally intelligent. Ayame Himuro
Ayame made to this list due to her high intellectual level. She has been different since the very young age in terms of her gorgeous looks, intelligence and cold nature. She is socially awkward person and therefore she hard time opening up to Shinya regarding her feelings. She thinks and observe everything as a scientist and believes that every problem has one solution and that was how she was able to accept her feelings for him. Her intelligence level has been proved multiple times through her problem-solving methods.
Shinya Yukimura
Shinya solves everything with the help of mathematics. Like Ayame he also believes that every problem has a single logical solution which also includes love. That is the reason why he gave the idea of proving Ayame’s love scientifically once she confessed her feeling. Unlike his IQ, his EQ is very low and it is proved with his misperceptions regarding emotions of anger or anxious while reacting to things related to Ayame. Shinya is a math genius and a great scientist and his abilities in both fields is unmatched but unfortunately when it comes to his feelings, he has seemed really silly that makes him look quite funny.
Professor Ikeda
The character of Professor is somewhat comical and physically he is the most muscular character in the series. Since he is the knowledge of every theory and scientific problem that his students come up with, it shows that no one is more surpasses his intelligence and emotional level in the series. We have seen him motivating his students in a very clever way. He has god manipulative skills that he often uses to encourage his students. Although Saitama University Science and Research is full of people with high intellectual, genius and emotionally intelligent people but these 5 are the most distinctive and therefore the most intelligent among all. They are brightest future of the school as they are tirelessly devoted to solve complex scientific problems. The connection of science and emotion seemed a little off at first but these characters made it fascinating and interesting to the extreme level.
