On Friday it was declared by NHK that in April 2020 another anime series of baseball manga Major 2nd by Takuya Mitsuda will be opened in NHK Educational channel.
Formerly in this week the anime version was scheduled in brief by Shogakukan but then shortly confiscated it
In December 2015 an animated advertisement was made based on the spin-off manga. In April 2018 an anime version was opened and it was telecast on Crunchyroll as soon as the series were broadcast in Japan. It explains the story:
The story revolves around a boy named Shigeno Daigo who is a student in a graded school and his father named Goro is a skilled and proficient baseball player who was at a time a Major League player. Shigeno is motivated because of his father and because of that he joined the a youth league team named Mifune Dolphins but he was incapable to perform very well as it was anticipated because of his father and within a year he give up playing baseball. When it was spring time of his 6 standard year a new student named Sato Hikaru who was just shifted from America got enrolled in Shigeno’s school his father named Sato Toshiya was also a famous Major League player and he is an old friend of Goro. Then there is a shift in the destiny of these two boys.
In March 2015 the manga was issued in Weekly Shonen Sunday by Mitsuda as being the initial chapter in 5 years of the manga series. Now, this manag has lately come back after taking a break in April.
Major was sequential in Weekly Shonen Sunday by Mitsuda from 1994 till 2010. 78 assembled volumes of the series were issued out by Shogakukan. The story was started when a famous and skilled baseball player met a terrible accident and dies which encouraged his son Goro Honda to be a expert baseball player.
In 2004 the first anime version based of this manga was started and in 2010 the 6th anime series based on this manga was started. In 2008 an anime movie named Major: Yūjō no Winning Shot also based on this manga was made.
